Centered by Design

Launched in 2014, Centered By Design (centeredbydesign.com) is the interior design and styling firm founded by Claire Hurwitz Staszak. I’ve worked with Claire and her team from the initial launch to a redesign with Woocommerce functionality that is hosted on a custom Digital Ocean server.

Collaboration and Redesign

I worked with Claire and her team and an outside branding and design consultant on the implementation of a full site redesign and the development of new functionality and a new e-commerce shopping experience. I was involved throughout the design process and helped fine-tune requirements so that Claire knew what to expect and we’d have a smooth handoff and be able to hit our launch deadline.

Since the site launched, Centered by Design has been built with Wordpress and the blogging functionality has been a driving force behind the business’s growth. When redesigning the site, I decided to continue using Wordpress as the platform because it works well in this context.
